I'm still alive!

Ack, it's been like a month and a half since I last posted! I keep meaning to post and then having nothing to share...I have done no sewing.

BUT...

I now live in Missouri! I am really loving it here. The city of St. Louis has got tons of great things going on and no traffic like the Bay Area. Woohoo!

I'll be honest, I've been so swamped with jumping right into a pretty intense new job and trying to furnish my apartment that I still haven't set up my sewing area or visited any local quilt shops (or guilds for that matter!) It's on my list, hopefully for this weekend (maybe I'll show up right in the middle of a sale!)

Because I have nothing interesting to say for myself, I wanted to direct you to an interesting Mollie Sparkles post I read this morning (yes, I am a week behind in my blogroll), about pricing commissioned quilts. It's something I've wondered about - how to value my time but also price the quilt reasonably.  I think a lot of people have no idea how expensive a good quilt can be, just in the materials alone!

Okay hopefully very soon I will have real quilting progress to share.
